Our skills clinics offer an approachable starting point for everyone because we know that learning a new skill can be hard and intimidating! Group dynamic is very important for skill acquisition, so you get to choose your tribe.

PRIVATE MOUNTAIN BIKE CLINIC

Beginner/intermediate levels. Location to be determined based on skill and trail system preference.

This session is suitable for a beginner or someone wanting to review mountain biking fundamentals. The main priority is to keep you safe, help you gain confidence and have fun. First, we’ll focus on developing neutral body position, learn safe braking techniques, shifting and gear selection, work on cornering, climbing, descending, reading terrain and steepness.

Once we have completed this, we’ll head to the trails and session out features as we go. The trails we’ll ride will be inline with your skill level and give you the opportunity to practice what you have learned. This is an excellent way to ingrain the new skills, ride new trails and see the local gems! Let's ride!

Pricing Options:

1 x 3 Hour private session $200

or

2 x 90 Minute private sessions $110

Clinics are instructed by individuals with National Coaching Certification Program (NCCP) training and accreditation, industry professionals that bring extensive years of training, performance and race experience.

PRIVATE GROUP MOUNTAIN BIKE CLINIC

Beginners/intermediate levels, up to 4 riders. Location to be determined based on skill and trail system preference.

This session is suitable for a group of beginners or those wanting to review mountain biking fundamentals. The main priority is to keep your group safe, help you gain confidence and have fun. First we'll focus on developing neutral body position, learn safe braking techniques, shifting and gear selection, work on cornering, climbing, descending, reading terrain and steepness.

Once we have completed this, we'll head to the trails and session out features as we go. The trails we'll ride will be in line with your group's skill level and give you the opportunity to practice the new skills, ride new trails and see local gems! Let's ride!

BIKE MAINTENANCE 101

In this hands-on clinic we teach basic maintenance techniques that will keep your bike rolling smoothly - whether on road, gravel or on the trails! 

Clinic Outline

This session is for anyone that want's to learn about their bike, the main components and general operation. We believe that if you look after your bike, your bike will perform better and all the components in the drive train will last longer. In this hands-on, personalized clinic you will learn how to properly clean your bike and lubing (frame, drive train, chain), we will discuss basic care and maintenance as well as when to visit your local bike shop. You will learn how to change a flat tire, repair a sidewall cut, make minor adjustments (barrel adjusters, brake levers, etc). so if you're out riding you can confidently get rolling and riding again! We will also discuss what to have in your flat repair kit and how to use the tools, chain lube selection for dry and wet weather. Basically, you will be one with your bike by the time we wrap up.

Any small tools you would normally carry: pump, patch kit, levers, tube, lube and multi-tool with hex heads.

A willingness to use your hands and maybe get a little dirty

SUSPENSION SET UP & TIRE PRESSURE

In this hands-on, interactive clinic we teach you how to set up your front and rear suspension and discuss tire pressure for tube or tubeless tires.

Clinic Outline

Setting up your suspension or changing to tubeless tires is not rocket science but there are some key principles and guidelines that are important to follow. This is what this clinic is about! You will learn how to set up your suspension, rebound dampening, sag and compression with the pump and tools that came with your bike. We will also cover how to set up tubeless tires and discuss tire pressure for different terrain so you can reduce the number of flats and mechanicals while out on road, gravel or trails.
