Clinic Information and 2024 Dates
Okanagan Bike and Ski invites youth (ages 9-15) to participate in our Mountain Bike Clinics.
Our Beginner clinic is for youth ready to pedal and descend green and blue trails that are close to town and civilization. Ride duration is around the 60-min mark and will have a couple hundred meters of climbing. Routes are designed to be fun and flowy, often riding green trails and occasionally tackling a blue. Focus for this clinic is skill development and learning important fundamentals required for trail riding.
Our Intermediate clinics are for youth ready to pedal and descend blue and black trails, ride duration is around the 90-min mark and will have a minimum of 250 meters of climbing. Routes are designed to have technical blue features such as little drops, rocks and roots. Child is ready to embrace the challenge of a blue and soft black trails (ascending and descending), but not fully confident on steeps, slabs and bigger drops yet. The focus for this clinic is to refine and execute skills in higher consequence terrain.

Each week we will ride a different trail in a predetermined trail system (ie. Smith Creek, Rose Valley, Knox, Crawford)

Programs are led by a registered Cycling BC Club Coach and Assistant Coaches, including background checks, NCCP Coach and PMBIA Instructor certifications. All accompanying adults must register as a Cycling BC Chaperon, including background checks. Cycling BC 2024 membership is required for ALL participants.
We will refund your registration MINUS $20 administration fee up until two weeks prior to the clinic start date.
